Writer - Sailor - Aviator

One of five boys, I was raised in Columbus, Ohio. I earned a Bachelor of Arts at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio studying Communications and History. Within a few years, I was pursuing my aviation aspirations while leading the complicated and sometimes comical life of a Navy spouse and father.  Life, flying and the Department of Defense took me all across North America, Europe, and Asia, where there was no shortage of unique experiences to add to my collection of colorful tales. Today, when I’m not writing or flying, I’m probably doing something related to racing sailboats.

On the Page

My first novel, Regard for the Dead was released in December 2021. The next book, Regard for the Living, went up for sale in May of 2025. Both are available from Amazon and wherever books are sold. Other projects are in the works, so check out my blog for updates.

On the Water

I started crewing for Dad at age nine and I’ve been going down to the races ever since. Sailing is an adventure that can encompass the world. Every kid should be so lucky!

In the Air

It runs in the family. Three generations of flying or fixing everything from fabric covered tail-draggers to modern jet airliners.
